A vent-free firebox, such as the Breckenridge Select 42, can be easily added to an existing masonry fireplace without the need for venting. It provides the flexibility to incorporate a mantel cabinet in various locations since no ventilation is necessary. This firebox doesn't require an exterior wall for installation; as long as there's a gas line, it can bring warmth and a cozy atmosphere wherever you desire. The Breckenridge Select 42 model is designed with a spacious interior to beautifully showcase your chosen log set. Its compact outer dimensions maximize the display area without unnecessary bulk. This version of the VFS42 firebox is exclusively available with a flush face design; louvers cannot be added to this particular unit. It's versatile enough to be installed at floor level, and you even have the option to install an additional blower for enhanced circulation. Whether fitting it into a standard or corner mantel or integrating it into a properly equipped existing fireplace, this firebox fits the bill.
With a depth of 23-3/16", the firebox requires a framing depth of 23-3/8". It's important to note that a logset and burner system must be purchased separately. The Breckenridge Select 42" Vent Free Firebox is compatible with any certified vent-free burner and log set. It's also certified as a zero-clearance unit, meaning it can be installed with minimal clearance to combustible materials.
The images showcase a Breckenridge Select Flush Face Firebox with both a banded brick liner featuring Sassafras Logs, a Black Frame, and a Lighting Kit, as well as a herringbone liner (not yet installed). It's important to note that the liner, log set, and burner depicted in the images are not included with the firebox but can be purchased separately. This product solely includes the firebox itself. The liner, log set, burner system, and optional blower are all available for separate purchase. Once you have the firebox, you have the freedom to personalize its appearance with additional features such as decorative doors and louvers.
